Community Church of Atascadero is actively involved both inside and outside the church. There are so many ways our congregation members are impacting the world with their gifts, it is hard to put all of that information on a web page.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the foreseeable future, Community Church will not have in-person worship services or other in-person gatherings. We continue to welcome you into community as we develop other ways of being church together.
Emergency Shelter 2020-2021
As a congregation with deep roots in the community of Atascadero, Community Church welcomes the opportunity to host the Emergency Shelter in the Fellowship Hall on our campus.
ECHO (El Camino Homeless Organization) will be managing this overnight shelter available each night from 7pm to 7am. Shelter guests will be able to have dinner at ECHO, then come to Community Church. The shelter will be available soon, and will operate through March 2021.
Following all COVID precautions deemed necessary by our County Department of Public Health, cots for 25 persons will be set up with plexiglass panels separating them. Once guests check in the doors will be locked and guests must stay through the night. In addition to ECHO staff on site, there will be additional volunteers to assist guests.
